According to the SBA, 68.1% of veterans that own and operate their own businesses will still own their businesses ten years later. This is a lot different than the 80% failure rate experienced by civilians. While not documented, or statistically proven, I believe that the reasons are very simple. Some people, especially people who have never worked with military veterans and their families, have the belief that veterans are inflexible, unchangeable and unimaginative.
