One of the things I have found to be rather disturbing is the number of TAPS 2.0 attendees that are coming to our office seeking assistance and the simple fact that they are being handed the exact same resume templates that I was handed over a decade ago. Those templates didn’t work then and they won’t work now.
So many of the “free” programs being offered nowadays haven’t updated their “free information” in over a decade!
The Team Phoenix Reverse Transition Assistance Bootcamp program is not for everyone… we know that. However, it is for anyone who is willing to take some ownership of their post-military experience and is willing to “do the work.”
“Don’t pay anyone to help you with the transition process. You can get career counseling at college or the VA for free.”
“Don’t pay to find a great job and keep it once you’ve got it. Everyone wants to hire veterans. Besides, the State Unemployment Office can help you for free. And, you’ll get “head of the line privileges.”
- Do you want to sit like a lap dog, begging for someone to throw you a bone of a job? Or are you ready to be proactive about finding a great job you love?
- Do you place so little value on your time that you’ll attend another “free seminar” that’s handing out “free” information hoping to get “a golden nugget” for “free?” Or are you ready to invest in yourself and your future?
- Do you really believe that “good, government employee” is going to help you get a job because it’s his job to help you? Or, are you going to “see the truth,” that his “good, government job” job relies on you never getting yours! Are you ready to “step up and take command” of your own life?
